Music school educated (at Berklee College of Music and Nicolo Paganini Conservatory) and inspired by philosophy of mind, Julyo became prominent in the Italian and Japanese underground scene between 2003 and 2005 as the bass player and leader of Italian glam rock trio Kharisma.
Upon leaving the group, he moved to Tokyo, Japan where he performed as VJ becoming active in the japanese underground scene as 'Photosonic'. During 2006 he produced and scored Award winner art video Photosonic, in Denmark, and then moved to New York, USA.

Julyo then concentrated on ambient music or 'brainwave VJing' in records such as 'Airports' (2007, with Keith Patchel) and pop music with bands 'The Sumerians' (with Michael Maccini), 'Kino and the Map of The Universe' and 'The Radiant' (with Mark Mangold).
As an artist, Julyo pursues ventures in parallel to his music career, being featured on international magazines such as the NY Post and Italian national newspaper 'La Republica', which describes Julyo as 'the most innovative artist of his generation'.
