Bosque de las Almas VR Experience

[Το κείμενο διατίθεται μόνο στα Αγγλικά] An artwork blending art and science, made in 3 acts with transmedia content presented on live cinema film, virtual reality and a concert where the direct sonification in the field of various behaviors of the migration of the monarch butterfly during its stay in Mexico is explored.

The VR Experience takes the inhabitant of the artwork to the highs of mexican forests where millions of these beautiful insects rest awaiting for their departure to northern lands, in the mean while they take advantage of the energy of the sun and fresh water to mate as much as possible preserving their species and surrounding us in their sanctuary.

This artwork was made in collaboration with CONABIO (Mexico’s commission for biodiversity) and CONANP (Mexico’s commission for protected natural areas).
