Usually I hate Monday mornings, but this time, on top of my usual Monday morning grumpiness, I was quite relieved when the alarm kicked in.

I was dreaming about something pretty fucked up, don’t remember what exactly, though. Something about trams, masks, people, faces... This happens sometimes, when I have too much work - nothing new.

But there was also this mask.

It was white, kind of carnival mask, but without any decorations.

It was just there, completely still, on my pillow, and my cat was sitting next to it, watching.

For some reason I’ve found it quite disturbing.

Anyway. Gotta hurry up to catch that bloody tram.

I’m so sleepy.... Damn, should have had another coffee.

Have you ever felt stuck in the dream, which felt so real you were scared you would never wake up?

What about that dream not being, actually, yours?

What about the dreamer being someone whom you dreamt of? A person, or... a thing. Say - a mask.

Weird, eh?

Well - it didn't look that weird. Not initially, at least. See, it was just a perfectly ordinary Monday morning, and the alarm clock was just about to ring...
